Dear in Christ,

Recently, it has come to my attention that some in the Greenville community at large are under the impression that I am leaving North Carolina at some point in the summer.

I am happy to report that I am not planning on going anywhere! Our parish is growing, Orthodoxy is spreading in Eastern Carolina, and my family and home are here. Unless God were to call me elsewhere, I will be here for the foreseeable future.

I should point out that even if I were to leave, though, or something unfortunate were to happen to me, God-forbid, our parish would continue and the Metropolis would work to bring another priest here. Our parish is not just me! It is a thriving group of dedicated Orthodox Christians. For instance, when I am not available to serve liturgy on a Sunday, they still meet together and pray.
